Bid Management

We have supported waste bids including PFI, food waste, sewage, sludge and ash recycling.

In the past five years, we have worked on bids for more than 10 waste projects and we understand the critical procurement issues – that designs should be sensitive and that stakeholders should be kept informed and involved throughout works.

For the North London Waste PFI, PCS supported an international contractor in its bid for a £250m waste disposal services contract which included production of a solid recovered fuel from waste that cannot be recycled or composted. Our support ranged from bid co-ordination to bid writing.

Our team supported a major contractor on the bid for the £1.7m Essex CC Food Waste Facility tender to handle food and garden waste, supplying three composting sites. Our services included helping to complete an online PQQ submission.

We provided writing support on a bid for the Thames Water FA1151 Incinerator contract to provide a recycling service solution for the incinerator sewage sludge ash that is produced at two Thames Water sites in London, Beckton Sewage Treatment Works and Crossness Sewage Treatment Works.
